Newsletter ~ December 2007

Dear friends, If you are new with us, we welcome you and hope that you will be blessed and transformed as you join us in our search for the truth. If you have been with us down through the years we thank you and love you for partnering with us in spreading the truth of the Gospel. Please know that your sacrifices are used with diligence in our calling to reach the nations.

I continue to be taken up with The First Epistle of the Apostle John  in our search for the truth.  It is filled with powerful help for all of us, both for the closing of this age as well as preparing us to stand before the Lord, free from any shame or mark that would disquality us from being a part of His Kingdom.

We intend to follow along with an unusual outline we’ve found imposed within it as it unveils revelation pertaining to the Christ, the anti-Christ and love.  All three of these hold a powerful relation to the day in which we are living. Jesus, the Prophets, and the Apostles have much, much, much to impart into our spirits, hearts and minds in regard to the days in which we live.

Never has there been so much in my heart and mind to get written and recorded as there is now.  This includes searching the Scriptures, drawing their power and truth over into living, and then sharing with you all that we possibly can, in all the ways possible.

We really would like to be more regular in getting our mailings out. We were able to do this for a while, but the fact is we’ve taken on too many things to always stay on schedule. It seems that we’ve been doing a lot as we toil at making books and writing new ones while trying to get out a monthly publication. We stay busy beyond our human capabilities and yet there remains so much yet undone.

We’ve had to come to the realization that we can only do so much as we continue to be pushed to the edge of possibility like never before. So, whatever  we do from this point on is going to have to be born out of impossibility. So much of what I’ve written through the years has come out of the difficulties of life where we’ve learned about the faithfulness and power of the Lord.

So, we continue seeking the Lord that He might let us know what is foremost on His agenda for us and that He might give us ...the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to fulfill His desire for this ministry.

In the midst of our struggles I keep being drawn back to that wonderful word from the Greek New Testament, dunamis. It comes from a word meaning, “to be able.” It’s the word Jesus used when He said, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you...(Acts 1:8). It means, “You shall seize upon enabling power as the Holy Spirit comes upon you.” Along with this comes what we’ve come to call “enabling grace.”

What better place to be than being pushed into the enabling power and the enabling grace as they become ours as we are crowded to the place of leaning upon the boxom of our loving heavenly Father?

I recently spent three weeks in NY and PA ministering, mostly with a fellowships where apostolic ministry was needed. Though this was a blessed time and people were touched and healed, the weakness and pain in my legs became such a hinderance to the point of discouraging me from ever traveling again.

So, I spend these days in Elk Park, giving attention to prayer, study, writing and recording, but most of all in prayer, seeking the Lord for direction, and the promise of His provision in fulfilling the calling upon my life, Susanna’s life and  this ministry.

Note from Susanna: I want to thank all of you for your patience and faithfullness as many of the things we had wanted to accomplish in 2007 have not come to fruition. Though many have. We continue to reach inmates in staggering numbers. While the numbers of inmates on our mailing list has doubled in the past few years, the number of supporters has decreased. Five years ago we had twice as many supporters as we did inmates. Now, the figures are reversed.

The dreams and visions the Lord has given us seem so much larger than we are, as we strive in our humanity to accomplish them. We are grateful for the promise that the Lord will not give a calling without making the resources available to fulfill that calling.

However, the Lord has no problem at all in letting us sweat it out as we hang out over the edge of impossibility, right where we belong for...His strength is made perfect in our weekness.

As we all get older by the day it becomes an absolute necessity for his supernatural strength to bring these things to pass. The powers of darkness have no problem at all in kicking us while we’re down, or taking advantage of the injury, affliction or addiction of a son or the death of a grandchild. Satan will use everything he can, every trick and deception he has to destroy our spirits, souls, bodies and finances, all of which are necessities in spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom and the truths revealed in His Word.

This leaves us asking the questions why? And how? How are we to continue providing literature and Bibles free of charge to inmates? And how are we able to send literature and support to ministries overseas? Sometimes in our worries, when we look at the facts, we become overwhelmed by the needs that pour in to us from all over the world.

How can we finish the books and CD’s that many of you have already ordered. And, how can we get the radio broadcasts ready, much less pay the money to get them on the air.  How can we get these books published in a professional manner so they can be sold in bookstores? Again we must call on his promise that...His strength is made perfect in our weekness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

So we expect that perfection should soon be forthcoming since our weekness seems to be at its full. As we continue to thank God for His mercy and His enabling grace, we can know that what comes forth comes from this ministry comes from His enabling power and not our own feeble abilities.

While The Discipline of Intercession continues catching on, some bookstores across the country have begun to carry this book. Some of you have ordered it from us and received a hand made copy; please know that these books are made with love and contain the exact material as the professionally published books. If you prefer the professionally published book, a hard cover or multiple copies, please order them directly from our website at www.maschil.com.

Our goal with The Discipline of Intercession in 2008 is to combine the chapters of the book with the Watching A Year of Healing “prayer-starters” for each month. We are also going to try to put out a CD for each month. Hopefully, we will be able to get these on the radio so we can broaden the reach of this “Discipline.” If you haven’t already signed up for 2008, make sure to do so.

As we get more and more Mighty Men and Women of God “praying the Word” and moving in the Power and Authority of God’s Word, we will be able to make a difference, not only in our own lives, our families and fellowships, but also in our own government as well as the Nations of the world. There has never been a more important time to pray with “importunity” as the man in Luke 11:5-8.

Please join with us again in 2008 as we take a stand against the powers of darkness that are seeking to harrass and destroy us all, keeping us from being useful in His Kingdom. As many are being restrained by these attackes, the enemy is running rampant in the land. As our focus is set on our circumstances, we become defeated in our callings, our missions...the Kingdom.

As our economy and morality crumble around us and many loose their homes, their credit, their children; how can we think to reach out and start a church or a mission in the inner cities and impoverished nations of the world? As we are being held in the grasp of circumstances, evil forces are rising to newfound acceptance and “tolerance.”

We must all ask ourselves why “Christianity” or morality, much less righteousness, is under such attack, and where it is all leading. Of course we know where it is leading as the signs seem to point toward His iminent return.

While many watch the sky, awaiting the “rapture” we must ask ourselves, “What if?” What if it doesn’t occur as so many believe? What will happen to those who have placed their hope and their salvation in this phenomenon. Will they feel deceived and abandoned, succumbing to the attacks of the enemy, bringing about “The Great Apostasy” we read of in 2 Thess 2:33--Let no man deceive you by any means:for that day shall not come, except there comea falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

If we but prepare ourselves to meet the Lord, whether in the “rapture,” His second coming, or in death, we will not only be able to stand firm in our salvation, walking in victory in that terrible day, but we will be ready to stand before the throne on that Day of Judgement. Let us not be deceived, for God has called us to righteousness while providing for us the guidance of His Holy Spirit and His Enabling Grace to fulfill His will.

If you haven’t studied the “prayer-starters” for November, make sure to go back and study them  as we dare to believe it is possible... THAT ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God (Col 1:10).

We have been called to present before others our walk with Him, determining whether we bring honor to Him or not. Oh, how miserably so many have failed as the people of this world have begun to see Christians as lunatic. Selfrighteous, judgemental, “intolerant,” hypocritical, ...radical, bigots!? Is that us? I think not!

Let it be ingrained in every part of us that He has called us to be partakers of light, revealing His love for mankind, that we might be ...Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness (Col 1:11).

As this year of growth and change comes to its close we continue in our calling by...Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of his dear Son: (Col 1:12,13).  PRAISE GOD!!!

HEAVENLY FATHER

I hold before you all of us who walk in difficulty.  Through the power of Your Spirit, work into our lives the ability to endure, the quality that enables us to forgive others, and the joy that comes as the fruit of Your Spirit.
In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen...

Dear Lord, Please give us the courage to suffer for your Name’s sake...instead of allowing the powers if darkness to drag us down in defeat. Let your Enabling Grace be a lifeline to your Holiness as you bring forth in me the purpose and calling you have planned for my life. This is the deepest desire of my heart for my own life as well as those I love. Let us rejoice in the gift you gave to us as we celebrate the birth of your Son, THE Christ, THE Messiah, THE Redeemer.

In the love of Jesus, Ed Corley, and our little Berean family, reaching farther than we ever imagined...
