We pray...That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge
…that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
DAY 4—Is there anything that can separate us from the Love of God?
Straight out, the answer is “No!” Nothing can separate us from the love of God that came to us in Christ Jesus our Lord. In Paul gives us quite a list to check off regarding His love.
—Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall •tribulation, or •distress, or •persecution, or •famine, or •nakedness, or •peril, or •sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither •death, nor •life, nor •angels, nor •principalities, nor •powers, nor •things present, nor •things to come, nor •height, nor •depth, nor •any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Paul was convinced, even in the face of untold hardship, that the combined energy of whatever may come in one’s life will result in good for ...them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
Again, what fullness!
GRACIOUS LORD, I just want to praise Your Name for all that You are to me, and to these that I love. I praise You for the marvels of salvation that day after day are being released toward us. Please move upon the hearts of these whose names I call out before You. Let Your Spirit convict them of Your powerful goodness, and of Your love that never stops reaching for us.
